Israel is a vibrant country that’s famous for its cultural events and festivals. Here are some events that you can’t miss out on when visiting Israel, no matter which town or city you visit.

International Arts and Crafts Fair

The Khutsot Hayotser Arts and Crafts Center in Jerusalem has been hosting the International Arts and Crafts Fair for the past 40 years. The event showcases some of the best weaving, textile, and ceramic work by Israeli artisans. Furthermore, craftspeople from across the globe join in to showcase their talents.

Moreover, the festival also includes a musical performance from Israel’s biggest stars making the event a sight to behold.

Fresh Paint Contemporary Art Fair

This annual event is held every April in Tel-Aviv. Each year thousands of artists send their works for selection at the fair. Their entries are examined by curators, art specialists, critics, gallery owners, and art collectors. Once thoroughly examined, the chosen artists are given a space to showcase their artworks where they could sell for a nice price. Each year the fair organizers have a new theme that makes the event interesting.

Red Sea Jazz Festival

The Red Sea Jazz Festival, held in Eilat is the best Israeli music festival. It is a bi-annual event where people can enjoy some of the best and authentic jazz. It attracts the best local musicians and renowned artists across the world also join to perform.

The Jerusalem Beer Festival

If you love a cold one, then this is an event you can’t miss out on. Every year, Jerusalem hosts breweries and renowned beer companies from all over the world. Beer enthusiasts can find more than 100 brands of bottled or brewed beer in the festival. The area is flooded with food stalls, attracting thousands of people.

Tel-Aviv White Night

The White Night is one of Tel-Aviv’s biggest cultural events of the year. It takes place in late June, where the whole city parties until dawn. Amazing events are scheduled everywhere such as beach concerts, exhibitions, tours, and parties. Restaurants and bars are open late; therefore, you can enjoy the culinary scene all night long.

Safed Klezmer Festival

This is another annual festival which takes place in the town of Safed. For three nights you can listen to the sound of Klezmer beats—the music of Ashkenazi Jews. The best thing is that all the performances are free.

If you’re planning on visiting Israel for your vacations, then try to attend the festivals mentioned above. If you’d like to fully enjoy the events, then learn a bit of Hebrew.
